Q:
What is compatible with my Arnold Digital products?
A: Arnold Digital System uses two BUS types: the XBUS (LMAB)
and the IIC-BUS (+XBUS). Using
the IIC-BUS, you can connect the Digital Central Control
(86200/1/2) to Control 80f devices and Mδrklin Interfaces (6050/6051,
6020, 6021 and 6027). Using
the XBUS, you can connect To the Lenz LZ 100 system and systems
that can interface to that such as the ZTC boosters. Basically any device
using the XPressNet connection (developed by Lenz) should be able
to be connected: Atlas, Lenz, ZTC Controls, and Roco. Note: The compatibility
was tested using the XBUS/XPressNet Version 2.3 of the Lenz LZ100.
Later versions of XPressNet may not work. XBUS:
LMAB
(L=white, M=grey, A=blue, B=violet). Regarding
Power boosters, The C, D and E terminals on
the Arnold Central Control (86200/1/2) can be connected to the Lenz
Boosters (LV101, LV102 and LV200). Likewise, as the Lenz can be connected
to the ZTC boosters (ZTC 550 and ZTC 555) using the C, D and
M terminals, so can the Arnold Central Control. ZTC and Lenz
boosters are commercially available. Note: the E terminal is used
to transmit to the various terminals a short-circuit command that shuts
them down. The ZTC booster is auto-reversing and can be used in reversing
loops (ZTC 550) and turntables (ZTC 555) - it switches the current when
the train passes over the section. Thus it should not be connected to the E
terminal of the Central Control. The
transformers are 16 Volt AC output with at least 50VA power
devices. You can use any other transformer with these specifications.
